تحلیل افسانۀ عربی «میمون باهوش» براساس کهن‌الگوی سفر قهرمان جوزف کمپبل

افسانه‌های عامه همچون هر پدیدۀ دیگری، از روان و اندیشۀ سازندگان آن نشئت گرفته است؛ بنابراین در جای‌جای افسانه‌ها می‌توان نمودهای مختلف ناخودآگاه جمعی اقوام و ملل مختلف را مشاهده کرد. بدین‌ترتیب الگوهای تکرارشونده در افسانه‌ها، به مبنایی برای تحلیل و کشف لایه‌های پنهان متن، تبدیل میشوند. یکی از این الگوهای تکراری، سفر است. جوزف کمپبل با ارائۀ کهن‌الگوی سفر قهرمان، اذعان می‌دارد که قهرمان داستان برای رسیدن به تعالی ابتدا از مکان نخستین خود جدا شده و در ادامۀ راه از سه مرحله عبور می‌کند که به ترتیب «عزیمت»، «تشرف» و «بازگشت» نام دارند. افسانۀ «میمون باهوش» یکی از افسانه‌های عربی است و هدف از این پژوهش بررسی این داستان براساس کهن‌الگوی سفر قهرمان است. بنابراین با روش تحقیق استنادی ابتدا به تعریف کهن‌الگوی سفر قهرمان جوزف کمپبل پرداخته شد. سپس داستان با روش توصیفی ـ تحلیلی از این منظر مورد بررسی قرار گرفت و با این پرسش که چگونه می‌توان با توجه به این دیدگاه لایه‌های پیدا و پنهان مفهومی و معنایی افسانه را کاوید و به درک بهتری از نمادها و رمزها و تصویرهای داستان رسید. مشخص شد که در مرحلۀ عزیمت، قهرمان داستان با زیرمجموعه‌هایی همچون: دعوت به آغاز سفر، امدادهای غیبی و عبور از نخستین آستان، مواجه می‌شود و از آن‌ها عبور می‌کند. مرحلۀ بعد این افسانه، زیرمجموعه‌هایی همچون: جادۀ آزمون‌ها، ملاقات با خدابانو و برکت نهایی را دربر می‌گیرد و درنهایت مرحلۀ سوم، با زیرمجموعۀ دستیابی به آزادی در زندگی قابل ردگیری است. همچنین اقتضای داستان موجب نادیده‌گیری و حذف برخی زیرمجموعه‌ها شده است. سرانجام باید گفت در این داستان قهرمان در سفر خویش، هفت مرحلۀ تشنگی و جست‌وجوگری، ظاهر شدن راهنما، خطر (عقاب)، ورود به دنیای جدید، کسب آگاهی، بازگشت و تحول و بهره‌مندی را پشت سر می‌گذارد.
