It wasn't long before astronomy gained great value and importance in Iran, and the presence of astronomers in the courts of kings and among wealthy families to use their powers of prophecy and determine auspicious and inauspicious times of the day became so widespread that it later led to the writing of calendars on the subject of astronomical powers. Since the mid-fifth century, when astronomy entered Persian poetry on a large scale, the belief in the authority of astronomy has been so widely reflected in the works of poets, especially poets who were themselves considered scholars of their time in astronomy and canonical astronomy, that today it is impossible to understand and appreciate many of the poems of great poets without sufficient familiarity with ancient astronomy and the rules and images of canonical astronomy.In this study, we have examined and analyzed the reflection of astronomical forces in the poems of Nizami, Anvari, and Masoud Saad. In addition to explaining some difficult verses, we have shown that astronomical forces were not considered as a kind of folk belief, but as an important part of knowledge, and therefore, paying attention to the good and bad luck of days and the horoscope of stars was very important in determining the time for doing things among people. در دوران کهن، به سبب موقعیّت جغرافیایی سرزمین ایران، ایرانیان از نخستین مردمانی بودند که به اخترشناسی توجّه کردند. دیری نپایید که ستاره‌شناسی در ایران ارزش و اهمّیّت بسیار یافت و حضور منجّمان در دربار پادشاهان و در میان خانواده‌های ثروتمند برای استفاده از قدرت پیش‌گویی آن‌ها و تعیین زمان نحس و سعد ایّام آنچنان گسترش یافت که بعدها موجب نوشتن تقویم‌هایی با موضوع اختیارات نجومی شد. از نیمه‌های سدۀ پنجم که علم نجوم به صورت گسترده‌ای وارد شعر فارسی شد، باور به اختیارات نجومی نیز در آثار شاعران، به ویژه شاعرانی که خود در علم نجوم و نجوم احکامی از دانشمندان عصر خویش به شمار می‌‌آمدند، چنان بازتاب گسترده‌ای یافت که امروزه درک و دریافت بسیاری از اشعار شاعران بزرگ، بدون شناخت کافی از نجوم قدیم و احکام و تصاویر نجوم احکامی ممکن نیست. در این پژوهش بازتاب اختیارات نجومی را در اشعار نظامی، انوری و مسعود سعد بررسی و تحلیل کرده و علاوه بر شرح برخی ابیات دشوار، نشان داده‌ایم که اختیارات نجومی نه به عنوان نوعی باور عامّه بلکه به عنوان بخش مهمّی از دانش، مورد توجّه بوده و بدین سبب نظر به سعد و نحس ایّام و طالع ستارگان در تعیین زمان انجام کارها در میان مردم بسیار مهم بوده است.
