Although ancient Iranians believed in plants and medicines that ward off death as a type of antidote, the use of the word “antidote” is not seen in pre-Islamic texts, and apparently the oldest reference to this word (that has reached us today) is related to Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, which is used in the concept of a medicine that cures the injuries. antidote is a universal concept that is seen in the myths and beliefs of many nations of the world, and it can be considered one of the archetypal symbols of “immortality.” Among the sources that provide us with valuable information about antidote and mention the details of this healing medicine are written naqqalies. This research, which is conducted using narrative scrolls and a descriptive-analytical method, attempts to address the types of narratives about the antidote and examine its various manifestations. The conclusion of this research is that in naqqali narratives, the antidote is not limited to the story of Rostam and Sohrab, and includes a wide range of stories; stories that introduce a variety of manifestations, functions, and novel narratives about the antidote
