Folklore, as a form of cultural text, serves as a repository of remnants of the thoughts, myths, and ethos of a given society. In these texts, concepts such as mythology, religion, worldview, ethics, and psychological issues are symbolically represented. Therefore, Iranian folk tales preserve the remnants of the Iranian worldview. This study focuses on the two philosophical motifs of "Light and Darkness" and "Asha and Druj," which form the foundational principles of Zoroastrianism and are strongly reflected in Iranian folk tales. Although these tales do not directly convey Zoroastrian teachings, many of them show significant overlap with the fundamental opposition of "Light and Darkness" and "Asha and Druj." The main aim of this research is to analyze how and on which levels these oppositions are reflected in the narrative structure of Iranian folk tales. Through a descriptive-analytical and documentary approach, it was found that these oppositions manifest not only in conceptual terms but also in the behaviors of characters, symbols, colors, and animals, thereby revealing a coherent structure of Zoroastrian cosmology. In these tales, the opposition of good and evil is depicted through the hero and the demon, and the role of sacred and assisting animals, such as the "cow," "dog," and "rooster," represents the forces of "Asha" and cosmic order. Furthermore, references to specific mythological names and titles, such as "Mobad," "Ahriman," and "Az," further highlight the Zoroastrian roots of these tales.
