Various research works in forms of book, thesis, article, etc. are written on different subjects every day. Some of the main works among these are the books that should have distinctive features in the field of folklore literature as basic works, so that they could bear the educational and research objectives of the field. One type of folklore literature book is “Generals”. By the name “Generals”, it is meant that they deal with different subjects in the field of folklore literature, and these works are generally written and published for teaching. However, they have a crucial role in the basics and general issues related to the studies in this field. Although the publication rate of these books is growing on a daily basis, no criticism has been done about them yet in order to categorize and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of these works, and consequently help researchers for an informed selection of these works. Considering the significance of this issue in this article, five important books from folklore generals’ book series are selected and criticized according to their publication time from the first one in the fifties to the books of the late decade. Since these books are generally taught at universities considering the educational department's enactments in the field of folklore culture and literature, these works were criticized and compared from the aspects of form and content, succession, generality and scope, theory application, revision and scientific validity, reader-friendliness of background and principles, etc. <span>از دهه 1380 به بعد با ورود فرهنگ و ادبیات عامه به حوزه دانشگاهی تحولی در مطالعه آن ایجاد شد و هر روز </span><span>آثار پژوهشی متنوعی در قالب</span><span>:</span><span> کتاب، پایان­نامه و مقاله و ... در قلمرو­های مختلف آن نوشته می­شود. از اصلی­ترین این آثار کتاب­هاست که به‌منزلۀ آثاری بنیادین در رشته ادبیات عامه باید خصوصیات ممتازی داشته باشد تا بتواند بار آموزشی و پژوهشی این رشته را به دوش بکشد. یکی از انواع کتاب­های ادبیات عامه کتاب­های «کلیات» است. منظور از کتاب­های «کلیات» کتاب­هایی ­است که هم‌زمان به موضوعات مختلف در حوزه ادبیات عامه می­پردازد و عموماً این کتاب­ها برای تدریس نوشته و چاپ شده­ است. هرچند که در مبانی و کلیات پژوهش­های این رشته نیز نقش اساسی دارد. با اینکه روز به ‌روز تعداد انتشار این نوع کتاب­ها در حال افزایش است، اما تاکنون هیچ نقدی دربارۀ آن­ها صورت نگرفته است تا به طبقه­بندی و ارزیابی نقاط قوت و ضعف این آثار کمک کند و پژوهشگران را در انتخاب بهتر این آثار یاری دهد. باتوجه به اهمیت این مسئله، در این جستار پنج کتاب مهم از مجموعه کتاب­های کلیات فرهنگ عامه به ترتیب زمانی از اولین کتاب در دهه 1350 تا کتاب­های دهه اخیر معرفی و نقد می­شود. چون این کتاب­ها عموماً در دانشگاه تدریس می­شوند، با نگاهی به مصوبات وزرات علوم در رشته فرهنگ و ادبیات عامه به نقد این آثار از جهت محتوا، توالی، جامعیت و وسعت بررسی، کاربست نظریه، روزآمدی و اعتبار علمی، جریان‌شناسی درست از پیشینه و مبانی و ... در دو بخش صوری و محتوایی موردنقد و مقایسه قرار می­دهد.</span> https://cfl.modares.ac.ir/article_22108_77a83d41494e076f5a707655c3a98ccd.pdf
